Hello. My name is Meltem.I graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Science Education in 2012. I started to work as a science teacher in 2015. I completed my master's degree with thesis from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Department of Science Education in 2021. My thesis was about enviromental education. I am working as a science teacher in Seydikemer, Muğla. I like to do research and learn new things. My students like learning by doing activities. They like to participate new projects. I think this project will be enjoyable and informative. Working with people who different cultures will be good for me and my students./ Merhaba. Adım Meltem.Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi bölümünden 2012 yılında mezun oldum. 2015 yılında Fen Bilimleri öğretmeni olarak göreve başladım. Yüksek lisansımı Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda 2021 yılında tamamladım. Tezim çevre eğitimi ile ilgiliydi. Muğla Seydikemer'de Fen Bilimleri öğretmeni olarak çalışıyorum. Araştırma yapmayı ve yeni şeyler öğrenmeyi severim. Öğrencilerim etkinlikler yaparak öğrenmeyi severler. Yeni projelere katılmayı severler. Bu projenin eğlenceli ve bilgilendirici olacağını düşünüyorum. Farklı kültürlerden insanlarla çalışmak bana ve öğrencilerime iyi gelecek.

My students watched an informative video about e-security./ Öğrencilerim e güvenlik hakkında bilgilendirme videosu izledi.

  

 We prepared the area which use at the project./ Projede kullanılan alanı hazırladık.

 

        We made compost./ Kompost yaptık.

        We went hiking with my students. We talked about nature and seed balls while we were walking in the nature (Individual activity). My students left seed balls in the nature which they did before(Individual activity). Then they painted about nature which they see after we walked a while in the nature (Individual activity). At the ending of hiking, we prepared our project pano with my students./ Öğrencilerimle yürüyüşe çıktık. Doğada yürürken doğadan ve tohum toplarından bahsettik (Bireysel etkinlik).  Öğrencilerim daha önce yaptıkları tohum toplarını doğaya bıraktılar (Bireysel etkinlik). Daha sonra biz doğada biraz yürüdükten sonra gördükleri doğayı resmettiler (Bireysel etkinlik). Yürüyüş bitiminde öğrencilerimle birlikte proje panomuzu hazırladık.

We watched documentaries about nature with my students./ Öğrencilerim ile doğayla ilgili belgeseller izledik.

My students planted their flowers in Earth Day (22st April)./ Öğrencilerim Dünya Günü'nde (22 Nisan) çiçeklerini diktiler.

We met the students in the 5th team and planned the activity./ 5.takımdaki öğrencilerle tanıştık, yapılacak etkinliği planladık.

Brochures prepared by our students which is about global warming were distributed to other students./ Küresel ısınma ile ilgili öğrencilerimizin hazırladığı broşürler diğer öğrencilere dağıtıldı.

We talked to our students about the factors that cause climate change. We gave examples of these factors from our daily life and created a survey about that. With this survey, students realized whether their behavior is causing climate change. Then they choose a behavior that they would change first./ Öğrencilerimizle iklim değişikliğine neden olan faktörleri konuştuk. Günlük hayatımızdan bu faktörlere örnekler verip anket oluşturduk. Gerçekleştirdiğimiz bu anket ile öğrenciler davranışlarının iklim değişikliğine neden olup olmadığını fark etti. Öncelikli olarak değiştireceği bir davranışı seçti.

My students wrote letters to the students of my colleague Guy Theard in France./ Öğrencilerim Fransa'daki Guy Theard isimli meslektaşımın öğrencilerine mektup yazdılar.

My students took the flowers they planted in pots and took them home. During and after the holiday, they will water the flowers in their homes and present the flowers to their mothers on Mother's Day. The growth and development of flowers made the students happy. (Individual activity)/ Öğrencilerim diktikleri çiçekleri saksılara alıp evlerine götürdü. Tatil ve sonrasında evlerinde çiçekleri sulayacaklar ve anneler gününde çiçekleri annelerine hediye edecekler. Çiçeklerin zaman içerisinde büyüyüp gelişmesi öğrencileri mutlu etti. My evaluation about project

Both my students and I were pleased to be involved in the project. It made me very happy to carry out activities that strive for nature and to instill the love of nature in my students practically. My students gained positive attitudes towards nature. My students enjoyed talking to their peers from different cultures. This broadened their worldview and improved their English as well. We gained knowledge by having fun and carried out activities. It was also very nice to meet and interact with my colleagues from different countries and provinces. Glad I participated in this project./ Projede yer almaktan hem öğrencilerim hem de ben memnun olduk. Doğa için çaba sarf eden ve öğrencilerime doğa sevgisini uygulamalı olarak aşılayan etkinlikler yapmak beni çok mutlu etti. Öğrencilerim doğaya karşı olumlu tutumlar kazandılar. Öğrencilerim farklı kültürlerden akranlarıyla konuşmaktan keyif aldılar. Bu onların dünya görüşlerini genişletti ve İngilizcelerini de geliştirdi. Hem eğlenerek hem de etkinlikler yaparak bilgi sahibi olduk. Farklı ülke ve illerden meslektaşlarımla tanışmak ve etkileşimde bulunmak da çok güzeldi. İyi ki bu projeye katıldım.
